In October 2022, members of the future NGO, in cooperation with philanthropist Anton Artemenko (a representative of business from the Chernihiv region) and the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Chernihiv City Council, founded the FIRST cultural and educational project of the full-scale war period, six months after the de-blocking of Chernihiv - "Academy of Ukrainian Music". This project became a response to the challenges of the time, when the need to support national identity and cultural values is particularly acute.
The goal of the "Academy of Ukrainian Music" is to promote Ukrainian music among Ukrainians. Every Saturday evening is filled with the sounds of academic music created by Ukrainian composers of different eras, and performed by talented Ukrainian performers. This project is a kind of musical outlet for the residents of the city and its guests, which makes it possible to feel more deeply the richness of Ukrainian culture.
Thanks to the "Academy of Ukrainian Music", classical works created by Ukrainian artists find a new sound and receive due recognition. The project emphasizes that Ukrainian music is not only an important component of national identity, but also an integral part of the world's cultural heritage. The project also aims to involve young people in classical music, educating a new generation of admirers of Ukrainian art.
