A space for meeting motivated educators from art educational institutions who are open to change. This initiative, known as the "First Platform," was founded in August 2023 by members of the NGO "Northern Cultural Capital" in cooperation with the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Chernihiv City Council and educational couturier Yulia Kravchenko, platform "SVITY" (Kyiv).
The "First Platform" project is primarily aimed at uniting the professional community of educators from art educational institutions for personal and professional growth, exchange of experience, development of cooperation, and increasing the level of dialogue culture in society. This initiative creates a unique environment for communication and development.
We are confident that a strong, qualified, and cohesive community of educators is able to effectively cope with the challenges of the time and the problems in the field of art education for school youth. Creating such a community is an investment in the future of art education and cultural development of our country.
The program of the "First Platform" will include trainings on personal development, master classes, interactive lectures, excursions, and interaction in stable groups. We invite all interested educators to join our initiative and together create new horizons in art education. Join us!

In Chernihiv, teachers of art schools within the "First Platform" project discuss the influence of dissident traditions on the formation of Ukrainian identity. Special attention was paid to the religious aspects of Christmas during the Soviet era, when faith was persecuted, as well as the tradition of "Christmas of the Three Vasils," initiated by Yevhen Sverstiuk. These meetings aim to enrich education with new approaches and ideas that shape national consciousness.
The "First Platform" is not just a space for professional communication, but also a place to care for the emotional health of educators. One of the key areas of work is the prevention of professional burnout. Within thematic meetings, such as "Energy for Life and Creativity," participants master techniques for self-recovery, stress resistance, and reflection. Such practices help teachers find the resources for inspired work and emphasize the importance of self-care in preserving their creative potential.
