With the support of the “Partnership for a Strong Ukraine” Foundation in Chernihiv, at the initiative of the members of the NGO “Northern Cultural Capital” in cooperation with the members of the working group on renaming streets, which operates under the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Chernihiv City Council, 12 memorial places “Place of Memory. Lost Heritage” were marked in the City of Heroes. This project aims to preserve and mark important places that are witnesses to our history.
The “Place of Memory. Lost Heritage” project arose as a need to mark places that have special significance in the history of Chernihiv. Each of these 12 places carries a history of loss and memories that need to be preserved for future generations. Marking these places is an important step towards honoring our history.
The information stands “Place of Memory. Lost Heritage” are combined into three memorial routes through Chernihiv, each of which allows you to feel the atmosphere and history of the city. The routes are designed so that everyone can walk these paths, remembering the past and appreciating its importance for the future.
